Custom Fades Barbershop (“Custom Fades,” “we,” “us”) is a barbershop in Grand Rapids, MI providing haircuts, fades, tapers, line-ups, designs, and shaves. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

How information is collected

• Website contact form — when you submit our contact form, we collect your name, phone number, email address (optional), your message, and your SMS consent selections (if you check either consent box).
• Careers form — when you apply through our careers page, we collect your name, phone number, email, work details, optional resume, and your SMS consent selections (if you check either consent box).
• Newsletter — if you enter your email in the footer signup, we collect your email address only.
• Phone calls — when you call the shop, we capture your phone number. Our AI receptionist answers incoming calls, can answer questions about the shop, and will ask whether you would like a booking link sent by text. Your verbal consent is recorded when you agree during the call.

How information is used

We use your information only to operate our business:

• To respond to your questions and messages.
• To send a one-time booking link by text when you verbally agree during a call.
• If you checked the non-promotional consent box: to send service messages such as appointment confirmations, booking links, appointment reminders, and customer care messages.
• If you checked the promotional consent box: to send occasional offers, discounts, and updates about our services.

Text messages are only ever sent based on the consent you have actually given — your checkbox selections on our form, or your verbal agreement on a call. We do not sell your personal information.

SMS opt-in and data sharing

SMS opt-in data — your phone number and your consent — is used solely to send you the messages you agreed to receive. It is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging data is processed only by the service providers who deliver messages on our behalf — Correa Advantage, which operates our AI receptionist, and Twilio, our messaging provider — and only to deliver those messages.

To opt out of texts at any time, reply STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or call the shop.

Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Form submissions are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, access to customer information is limited to the shop owner and the service providers named above, and we do not store your information in any public location. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.

Cookies and tracking

Our website does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. Any cookies used are strictly necessary for the website to function. We do not track you across other websites.

Data retention

We keep your information only as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal requirements. You may ask us to delete your information at any time by calling the shop.

Children’s privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
