Custom Fades Barbershop LLC

Custom Fades Barbershop LLC is a barbershop in Grand Rapids, MI providing haircuts, fades, tapers, line-ups, designs, and shaves. When you opt in to our SMS program, you can expect to receive text messages such as: a booking link when you request one during a phone call, appointment confirmations and reminders, customer care messages, and — only if you separately agreed to promotional messages — occasional offers and updates about our services.

This messaging program is operated by Custom Fades Barbershop LLC, solely owned by Juan Antonio Covarrubias — also known as Juan Covarrubias and JohnnyBlendz — who is the authorized representative for it.

SMS program details

• Program description: When you call Custom Fades Barbershop LLC and verbally agree, we send a one-time text message with a booking link (and, if you asked about a specific barber, that barber’s booking page). You may also opt in through the consent checkboxes on our contact form or careers form to receive service messages (appointment confirmations, booking links, reminders, customer care) and, separately, promotional messages (offers, discounts, updates).
• Opt-in: Consent is given verbally during your phone call to the shop (service messages only — never promotional), or by checking a consent box on our website contact or careers form. Both boxes are optional, never pre-checked, and consent is not a condition of purchase. We never text you without your agreement. Messaging is only sent based on the consent you selected.
• Message frequency: Message frequency may vary. For a booking link requested by phone, you will receive 1 message per request.
• Fees: Message and data rates may apply.

How phone opt-in works

Our AI receptionist answers calls to (616) 980-0730. When a caller wants to book, it asks for consent using this script:

“I can text you our booking link. It’s one text from Custom Fades Barbershop to this number. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out. Our SMS terms and privacy policy are at customfadesgr.com. Would you like me to send it?”

The text is sent only if the caller clearly says yes. That single text confirms the request and includes our name, the booking link, “1 msg per request”, message and data rates, and HELP/STOP instructions.

Confirmation text for website opt-in

Right after you submit a form with a consent box checked, you receive one confirmation text, for example: “Custom Fades Barbershop: You’re subscribed to texts about your appointments and customer care. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.”

Cancelling the SMS service

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just reply STOP to any text you receive from us. After you send the SMS messageSTOP to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
